About Us

Overview

Among other crimes against humanity, communist regimes around the world have slaughtered about 100 million innocent civilians. However, one-fifth of the world’s population in China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, and Vietnam still lives under brutal communist regimes. These regimes present an existential threat to the liberal and democratic world.

Joined by a couple of China experts and Australian politicians, representatives of more than 20 organisations from the communities of the Chinese, Hongkongers, Taiwanese, Tibetans, Uyghurs and Vietnamese in Australia and New Zealand gathered in Canberra for The Conference on Victims of the Chinese Communist Party: Retrospect and Prospect on 27 - 28 February 2021. Meeting the challenge for freedom lovers from all communities concerned to make concerted efforts in their effective resistance to the communist tyranny, the participants of the conference decided to establish The Australia and New Zealand Alliance for Victims of the Chinese Communist Regime.

Mission

Australian and New Zealand Alliance for Victims of the Chinese Communist Regime is an advocacy Non-Government Organisation. It stands for universal values enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, democratic principles, and the rule of law.

It aims to strengthen the solidarity and alliance of the Chinese, Hongkongers, Mongolians, Taiwanese, Tibetans, Uyghurs, Vietnamese and other communities who are victims of the Chinese communist regime, and to redress injustice.

It also aims to assist the international community, in particular the governments and the public of Australia and New Zealand, in understanding the true nature of the Chinese communist regime and the threat it poses to universal values, democratic institutions, the liberal international order and global security.
